VIETNAM – STILL A WORTH PLACE FOR FOREIGN INVESTMENT IN THE COMING YEARS

With the recent assessment, ADB – Asia Development Bank has lifted its growth forecast for Vietnam for this year from 6.5% to 7.5%, despite several economic challenges. This news keeps us hoping that Vietnam will attract more investment in the coming years.

At the beginning of December, Samsung decided to announce their plan to more investment in Vietnam to 20 billion USD from 18 billion USD as CEO Han Jong-hee mentioned when meeting Vietnam President Nguyen Xuan Phuc in Seoul. This company has been invested in Vietnam long time with more success so this is their clear goal in Vietnam’s effectiveness development plan.
With not relying upon the current strong market like US or EU, Vietnam now is also looking for chances in other regional countries and some extended ones in FTAs. In the forecast economic downturn, a young and diligent labor force at a lower cost in the region is also an advantage to attract foreign investment. Besides, a new industrial producing country, Vietnam still has traditional agricultural products like rice, coffee, and seafood which are very important in the food supply, and proved effective in Covid pandemic when the supply chain was interrupted.

So, looking ahead, we – Voltrans Logistics, think that Vietnam is still very attractive and competitive in the region to attract more investment and get more success in coming years. Let’s join hands together!
