VIETNAM RICE TOWARD PROMISING MARKET DEMAND IN 2023

By the end of Mar, Indonesia planned to import 2 million tons of rice into National Reserve and this information was very valuable to big rice exporters like Vietnam. In the recent trend of increasing the reservation in doubt of the ending of the Russia-Ukraine war, covid pandemic late-effects, especially on foods, in many countries against the unsteady global economy, Vietnam rice price is increased up to 528.5 USD/ton nearly 9.8% up against the same period in 2022.

Besides Indonesia, a good market for Vietnam, China is also one of our key markets that began increasing back in agri-products, including Vietnam rice. With the quality of rice from some of the Vietnamese exporters like Loc Troi Company matching the EU’s customers’ satisfaction, Vietnam’s rice volume is expected to reach 7 million tons in 2023.

We understand that Vietnam rice has received very good conditions in market demand, EVFTA, CP-TPP, and many other bilateral FTAs set by the Vietnamese government and partners. However, our rice is not only alone in the market; many others like Thailand, India, and Bangladesh are our traditional competitors. We hope that all farmers, traders, and governmental agencies will be careful about the quality standards in the long term and the time of delivery matching customers’ requirements to reach the target.
