LOOKING FORWARD TO COFFEE EXPORT DEMAND HIGHER
LOOKING FORWARD TO COFFEE EXPORT DEMAND HIGHER
In the first 9 months of 2022, Vietnam exporters have shipped about 1,35 mill tons of coffee (equivalent to 70,315 teus) to the worldwide market from the source of Customs statistics. It is worth about 3.07 billion USD up to 13.7% in volume and 37.6% in value compared with the same period of 2021. In the first two weeks of Sept 2022, the volume was about 38,000 tons.
The majority of Vietnam coffee, Voltrans Logistics is handling, was to Asian countries like Japan, S.Kore, China, Thailand, Malaysia, some EU (Germany, Italy, and Belgium), and the US. These are also the main markets of Vietnam.
Vietnam coffee prices are under pressure as the dollar strengthens to higher levels, and the worries of the global economic recession will reduce the demand for coffee in the coming months.
However, we still believe the demand for coffee will bounce back soon in the next year. We will follow up and update to support our Vietnamese coffee exporters as usual.
